Run Clark Lake takes place on Saturday, August 1 beginning at 8:30 am. Go to runsignup.com to register. The post-race party takes place at the Beach Bar patio. Proceeds benefit the maintenance of the Spirit Trail.
2026 marks the 65th annual celebration of Raft-O-Rama at Clark Lake taking place on August 2. The boat parade starts at 10:30 am at the west end of the lake and travels in a counterclockwise direction around the lake. It ends with a party at Eagle Point with live music.
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is holding Vacation Bible School Monday, August 3 through Friday, August 7 from 9 am to noon. All kids ages 4 to 12 are invited to join. Go to stmarksih.org for more information or to register.
US-12 Heritage Trail’s 180 Mile Garage Sale is coming up Friday, August 7 to Sunday August 9. Irish Hills Print Co (the old Prehistoric Forest) has spots for vendors for only $20 for the weekend. Hidden Lake Gardens is holding a Grandchildren’s Garden Day Camp on Friday, August 7 from 9 am to 4 pm. Designed for children 7-12 and their adult chaperone, this special one-day camp offers an insider’s look at some of HLG’s most treasured locations, they will enjoy hands-on activities, guided hikes, nature exploration and outdoor fun.
